Hi,

I am new to Stats and new to PROC GENMOD (yes.  a deadly combination).  It would be really helpful if someone can clarify what the assess and the bayes statement in proc glm are and how they are different from each other.

From my readings, I am currently under the understanding that ASSESS checks the model statistics (and hence the underlying distribution of the variables) while the BAYES statement checks the regression model using gibbs sampling

My understanding here is that they essentially do the same thing (using two different methodologies).  Would that be a right judgement to make?

Regards,

Sunil

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
