Hi:
I am confused. The default interface on the SAS OnDemand for Academics server is SAS Studio. So, by default, a SAS Enterprise Miner project would not be able to be run in SAS Studio on the SAS OnDemand server.
How are you getting your SAS Enterprise Miner projects? If you are using SAS Enterprise Miner through work or school, under a work or school license, then it would make more sense to import your projects into the SAS Enterprise Miner application that you use through work or school
However, if you are in a sponsored class on the SAS OnDemand server that uses Enterprise Miner, then you may already be using SAS Enterprise Miner on the SAS OnDemand server -- in which case, your Enterprise MIner projects may already be on the SAS OnDemand server. Or, in some instances, for your sponsored class, you might upload your Enterprise Miner projects from your local machine into a folder on the SAS OnDemand server so you could then start Enterprise Miner, connect to the SAS OnDemand server and then use what you just uploaded in Enterprise Miner.
It's hard to understand what it is you need to do. If you are working with a professor in a sponsored class on the SAS OnDemand server, you may want to consult with your professor about how they intend for you to create and run projects.
If you are using Enterprise Miner under a work or school license, then it doesn't make sense to import those type of projects into SAS OnDemand for Academics.
Do you have a SAS OnDemand for Academics account? If so and you look on the SAS OnDemand dashboard, there's an area on the right side of the dashboard that shows your enrolled courses. Are you taking a sponsored course that uses SAS Enterprise Miner? If you are in a sponsored course, then your best resource for what you need to do would be to follow your professor's instructions for how to access the sponsored course data and projects.

Thank you for getting back to me.

I am in the sponsored class and want to upload my Enterprise Miner projects from my local machine into a folder on the SAS OnDemand server then start Enterprise Miner. That is my question.

Please guide me in this process.

Hi:
I don't teach the Enterprise Miner classes, so my experience with Enterprise Miner is limited. In searching past forum questions, I found this post https://communities.sas.com/t5/Administration-and-Deployment/Export-and-Import-of-EMiner-Projects/td...
which referenced this SAS Tech Support note: https://support.sas.com/kb/32/904.html . That seems the best place to start.
Also, you've posted this question in the ODS Reports forum, which may not get many Enterprise Miner users. A better place to post your question would be the Data Science/Data Mining forum, here: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Data-Science/bd-p/data_mining

Have you downloaded the EM client software as described in the SODA FAQ - https://support.sas.com/ondemand/caq_new.html#EM

I suspect the EM Client tool will start a server-side EM session.

You can upload your project files using SAS Studio - this will be a bit of a pain because you can only upload files (& not entire folders) so you'll have to repoduce the folder structure of the EM project.
If you are just concerned about the diagrams, you can save those as XML, upload to Ondemand, & then import in EM.
