Dear all,

I tried to import xlsx to sas 9.2 ,  tried the following :

PROC IMPORT DATAFILE= "/path/Drug_codes.xlsx"
OUT= FILES_CONSOLIDATED
DBMS=XLSX
REPLACE;
SHEET="anticancerall";
GETNAMES=YES;
DATAROW= 2;
RUN;

ERROR: DBMS type EXCEL not valid for import.

and

PROC IMPORT DATAFILE= "/path/Drug_codes.xlsx"
OUT= FILES_CONSOLIDATED
DBMS=XLSX
REPLACE;
SHEET="anticancerall";
GETNAMES=YES;
DATAROW= 2;
RUN;

ERROR: DBMS type XLSX not valid for import.

I am wondering how I can correct it.

Thank you,

Ivy

You need at least maintenance 2 of 9.2 and ACCESS to PC Files licensed.

Correction: make that SAS 9.4. Upgrade to the current version, or save your Excel data to a sensible text-based format and import that.

SAS 9.2 was released in 2008 and SAS 9.2 TS1M2 in 2010. You're on quite an old version at this point.

Thank you, all.

I am copying the data to different sheet to be imported.

Have a great weekend,

Ivy
