might need to write a macro.

10001     3        4       5       8
10007     4        6       4       9
10009     4        9      10       3

I need a folwwoing dataset as below which contains the maximum values for
Value1,value2,value3,value4.
The result dataset should be as below:

Why did you repost this as a new question? You already have your answer! Here was my suggestion:

data want (drop=rtue1--vB4);

  set have;

  value=max(of rtue1--vB4);

run;

Sorry I realized my question was incomplete and more to do with macro than the process. I have reposted it again in Process forum
