Hi there is there a simple way to open Base SAS v.9 from a VB script and run a pre- written sas program that needs parameters for macro's within the sas code?

I start SAS as :

"C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\sas.exe" -CONFIG "C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\nls\en\sasv9.cfg"

Thanks

Rob

See the -sysin option for running SAS code in batch.

See -sysparm to hand parameters over to the code

If you store values in environment variables, you can use the sysget() and %sysget() functions to retrieve them.
