Hi All,
I want to export a SAS dataset of sixe 30MB approx. The challenge is the client cannot access the location where the excel are saved. They need to open the excel as soon as the SAS dataset is exported and save to their local system.
What SAS function or procedure can be used to export the large dataset and then open the excel directly.
Kindly help with the issue.
Thanks,

This sounds like an awkward set up.
Sounds like a authorization issue, why can't you save to a location that they can reach?
Also, what do you mean by "their system"? Open and save (?) an Excel doesn't sound like a system.
What is the en location for the data?
Either you try to integrate properly with the target, or you could set up data or application (Excel) access to your data.
Some licensing might be necessary, like SAS/ACCESS (to export data to end location), SAS/SHARE (open up SAS data to consumers) or Office Analytics (SAS plugin in Excel to access SAS data and reports).
The best solution I can think of is the SAS Add-In to MS Office. You would need to check if the client has this licensed. To read in the SAS dataset all they need to do is from the SAS Tab in MS Excel on their PC is to connect to the remote SAS server and download the selected SAS dataset into the current Excel sheet. No exporting is required.
