Specifically. the surveyselect procedure.  It prints

The SURVEYSELECT Procedure

Selection MethodSimple Random Sampling
Strata VariableSTRATA

Input Data SetFRAME
Random Number Seed78070001
Stratum Sample Size2
Number of Strata1
Total Sample Size2
Output Data SetSAMPLESTRATA4
after the procedure is performed which is great, but is there a way that I can access this through SAS code?  I want to be able to find  Random Number Seed and this information to access it and write the seed as a macro variable.
Thanks..

Try :

proc sort data=sashelp.class out=class; by sex age; run;

proc surveyselect data=class out=test sampsize=2;

strata sex;

ods output summary=classSummary;

run;

proc print data=classSummary; run;

or simply choose your own seed= option on the proc surveyselect statement.
