I am trying to calculate the Incidence rate ratio (IRR) using proc stdrate. In particular I want to obtain the following statistics:
I have gone through the proc stdrate user’s guide however I have been unable to work out how to extract these statistics.
The code I have used is:
proc stdrate data = exposed_reduced refdata = control_reduced
method = indirect
stat=rate
effect=ratio
;
population event=observed_total total=pyear_total ;
reference event=observed_total total=pyear_total ;
strata post_strata rank_strata agegrp_cancer_1 year_cancer / effect ;
run;
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
what at are you expecting this proc to do? My understanding was this was for calculating age-sex standardized rates for example or maybe I'm missing something.
