output with pattern

Hi
in data quality (Data Flux) for numeric we get out put as 9999 for numeric and AAA as character observations.now i want it in 9(4) and A(3) in this way i want the output.

Ex:

data x;
input id address $;
cards;
123434 main road
897897 koolashes
767675 mumbaird
run;

now i want the pattern and out put shd be in this format as 9(6) for numeric and A(9) for character variables.
