infinite likelihood in iteraction 0???

I am using the following commands:

PROC MIXED DATA=WORK.REACTION;
CLASS id period instance mode group;
MODEL reaction = period instance mode group /s;
REPEATED period instance / TYPE=un@ar(1) SUBJECT= id R;
RUN;

And I am getting the following message at log:

124 PROC MIXED DATA=WORK.REACTION;
125 CLASS id period instance mode group;
126 MODEL reaction = period instance mode group /s;
127 REPEATED period instance / TYPE=un@ar(1) SUBJECT= id R;
128 RUN;

NOTE: Writing HTML Body file: sashtm8.htm
NOTE: An infinite likelihood is assumed in iteration 0 because of a nonpositive definite
estimated R matrix for id 1.
NOTE: PROCEDURE MIXED used (Total process time):
real time 0.14 seconds
cpu time 0.03 seconds

What does it really mean and how could I repair that?
