Hello all,

I am working on a VAR model and have two excel files (one is quarterly gdp, the other is weekly M1). My goal is to concatenate these two files together. I am trying to figure out how to import the weekly data (in the form of mmddyy10) onto SAS and then expand it to quarterly data. Then I want to concatenate these files.

How would I go about importing the weekly data to SAS? I can't seem to get the correct code.

Many thanks

It would help if you could show us small portions of these two spreadsheets.

But in general, when I use PROC IMPORT to read Excel spreadsheets, the date values from Excel show up as date values in SAS, so I'm not sure I understand what the problem is.

I think the problem was my ignorance lol. My files were not CSV when I was attempting this... :smileyplain:. It is all good now! Thank you for the response Paige! Hope your day is going well!
