I have a SAS date1 in form YYMMP7. and another date2 in the form of MMDDYYP10.  when I export the file to Excel I also get the day in the form of 2011/01/12 .. I tried parcing it, but there must be an easier way to just get Month and Year (eg. Jun2009 or 06.200) to export..  Thanks

If you don't mind rewriting the dataset, you could put(date1,yymmp7.)
