I am doing validation for a dataset

I have two datasets

dataset A has usubjid, trt, studywk

dataset B has usubjid  visit

dataset A has studywk as 1 2 3 ...11...99

dataset B also has studywk as s01 s02 s03 ....s11,s12,,,s99  B datasets has more number of observations but i need visit only from dataset B and studywk also.

what is the best proc sql method to get this two datasets merged.

if variable studywk in dataset A is character type. it is first starting:

select b.*

from b,a

  where b.studywk contains strip(put(a.studywk,z2.)) ;
