The following programming statement worked fine to create an overlay histogram;

proc univariate data=didi;
class Type;
var IPtotal;
histogram IPtotal / kernel overlay;
run;

However, I have two questions;

1. How could I set a min and maximum for x-axis?

2. It displayed a value "c=0.79". I think it is some sort of parameter for curve. Could you please tell me what this value means?

Thank you for your help in advance.

For your first question.

histogram IPtotal / kernel overlay endpoints=(100 to 200 by 10) ;

For your second question. It is radius of Normal kernel. @Rick_SAS wrote a blog about it before and might give you details info.

The C parameter is defined in the documentation.

It is a standardized parameter which defines the bandwidth of the kernel function..
