Hello:

I am curious if there is a way to find a column like the operation Ctrl + F in Excel.  Just curious, cause I have over 500 columns.

Thanks.

This could use some clarification.

I am curious if there is a way to find a column

Are you asking to find a specific column with a specific name, or are you asking to search for specific values in a given column?

First, I would like to find a specific column with a specific name.   Then I would like to search specific value or text in a given column.

Is there a way to do that?

What software are you using? In Enterprise Guide you if you are viewing a dataset you can use Ctrl+F .

But if you have lots of data (which it sounds like you do) you are better to write SAS code . You could do something like this:

%macro find_data (column= , value= ) ;

	data want;
		set sashelp.class;
		where &column=&value;
	run;
%mend;

%find_data (column=Name , value='Carol') ;
%find_data (column=Age , value=14) ;
