SQL Question

Dear All,

I have a quick question on SQL. When I executed the following codes, I get the same result (aa is identical to aaa) despite the fact that I remove "as" in the "from" line in the second code. I have read various documents on the application of proc sql and they all have "as" in the "from" line. Is "as" an unnecessary statement here?

"as" is not necessary. It makes no difference to use it.
