SAS macro to identify Continuous or Categorical Variables

Hello Forum,

I wonder if there is SAS macro or another way to identify the variable types.   This paper mentions about it but macro is not provided.  Thank you.

Re: SAS macro to identify Continuous or Categorical Variables

What are your rules for defining a variable as continuous or categorical? Usually the NLEVELS option in proc freq comes in handy. And what type of output would you be looking for, i.e. why categorize them in the first place?
