I was having problems with Proc Freq.

I was looking for the estimated proportion and CI with two levels.

Let's use Example 3.1 under SAS help as an example.

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/procstat/63104/HTML/default/viewer.htm#procstat_freq_sec...

What is the proportion and CI for the students with "Blue" eyes and "Dark" hair?

I create another new variables and combine the two variables.

here is how I do it.

data new2;

set old;

eyehair=eye||hair;

run;

proc freq data=new2;

weight count;

tables eyehair/binomial(level="blue    dark") alpha=0.05;

run;

Is there a easier way to do this?
