Hi, I'm doing logisitic regression analyses for men and women separately to see how gender makes a difference. I think BY and STRATA statements both can make it work. However, I am curious what the difference would be using these two statements?

In this case, as in any analysis situation, if you want to do separate analysis based on the distinct values of a categorical variable (in this case gender), use the BY statement.

It took me hours to run PROC LOGISTIC with STRATA statement. I thought it would have also given me the results for each gender group. But it did not. You're right. Thanks!
