Moving a sas dataset from windows to unix

Hi,
Whats the best way to move a dataset or a list of datasets from sharedrive " \x\y\z" to unix '/a/b/c"?

The internal format of Windows and Unix SAS datasets is not the same so file copies wont work. The method mentioned by @ChrisBrooks is one way.
