How to estimate heritability for generations (P1, P2, F1, F2 and F3)?

Dear all,

I would like to estimate heritability parent-offspring regression for 3 or 4 generations (Parent 1, parent2, F1 (first generation), F2 (second generation) and F3 (3rd generation) altogether.

Does somebdoy can help me with the code?

 Thanks.

You need to elaborate on your question.

We may or may not be in your field so the terminology isn't clear, as well as which part of the SAS programming you're having issues with. Sample input and output data are also helpful.

Dear REEZA,

You are perfectly right! Sorry for that.

I want to do regression analysis. In plant breeding and Genetics, when a breeder makes crosses, he has to see whether there is progress following successive generations. The first generation is F1, an hybrid. From that, it is possible to measure the heritable genes for example for a trait like yield in wheat crop. So, we have to do a kind of analysis called ''Parent-Offspring regression''

Some breeders will do that by the PROC IML but I am not able to sort out the codes for the regression analysis.
