Floating point overflow in procedures

When I ran PROC CORR and PROC PRINCOMP I got error messages of "floating point over flow". How can I diagnose which variables caused the problem? How can I fix the problem?

Thanks a lot.

Recommend searching the SAS support http://support.sas.com/ website - here is a Google advanced search argument to consider using - there will be several matches for technical notes on the problem/condition:

Thanks for the response. But I'm still bummed about how to resolve the issue. Some suggest redefining variable lenghth but it would be nice if I can just identify which variables caused the problem.

Can I get any help from somebody?

I tried to add the variables one by one to the procedure and found the variable causing the problem. Fixed for now!
