I am currently wanting to analyze survey data. The data is set up in an excel spreadsheet with a merged header, similar to what is seen below.
I want to be able to count how many respondents selected a particular topic, without merging the responses into one variable. For example, if I wanted to count how many respondents said they like Art, in a proc freq, I would get 100% (5/5). But what I really want to see is Art 83.33% (5/6), so it takes into consideration ALL respondents who completed the question. I want to be able to do a proc freq for the variable "Topics" and have it return Art: 5/6, Science: 2/6, History: 2/6, etc.
I know that there is probably an easy solution to my problem, but my brain just isn't thinking that way today!
