I found the following code in a paper:

PROC FCMP OUTLIB=FUNCSOL.FUNCTIONS.CONVERSIONS;

FUNCTION LB2KG(LB);

KG = LB / 2.2;

RETURN(KG);

ENDSUB;

RUN;

I tried running in SAS 9.1.3 and got the following warnings

WARNING: No CMP or C functions found in library FUNCSOL.FUNCTIONS

and

WARNING:  Failed to save function LB2KG to catalog funcsol.functions

you do not get an error on the proc fcmp itself, something is working.

26151 - Using user-defined functions in statistical procedures in SAS® 9.1.3      http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/base/91/fcmp.pdf

It says something is wrong when saving to the catalog.

Combination with cmplib
