1. Get the Certification Guide prep from SAS and use it. Also available online through libraries, such as Safari books if you have access to that.
2. Have some working experience before the test.
If you've never programmed before get some base programming knowledge as well, none of the SAS guides cover that.
It will cover things like logic, loops, pseudo code, compilation vs execution.

I personally believe the SAS e-learning course is the best preparation. I used that plus Amazon.com: The Little SAS Book: A Primer, Fifth Edition (9781612903439): Lora Delwiche, Susan Slaug...
