  1. Focus your report by telling a single data story
  2. Understand why the audience is viewing your report
  3. Choose the simplest visualization for your data
  4. Use consistent fonts throughout: No more than two
  5. Avoid using color outside of your data visualizations
  6. Avoid images, unless pertinent to your data story
  7. Limit number of objects per section: Aim for 4-7
  8. Limit number of sections per report: Aim for 2-6
  9. Make your report accessible to all potential readers
  10. Create a focal point using white space effectively

What´s is your best tip? Currently, mine is Shneidermans mantra “Overview first, zoom and filter, then details on demand.
