Novel Uses of SAS to Create and Analyze the Longitudinal Independent Healthcare Research Database

Large longitudinal human research studies are important because they provide a wealth of information about how people and things change over time. At present, large longitudinal studies are generally very expensive, require significant investment of resources and are completed over lengthy periods of time. Through novel uses of SAS, billions of administrative health care records generated by the Florida Medicaid system over more than two decades were used to construct the scientific/medical Independent Healthcare Research Database (IHRD). Join this session to learn how the IHRD was then utilized to undertake wide-ranging and cost-effective controlled longitudinal epidemiological studies.
