Use Case

Building a fleet management system for the US capital's bikesharing system.

The Capital Bikeshare (CB) system in Washington, DC manages over 5,000 dockable bikes across 600 stations in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. We are proposing an operation solution for CB to both manage current network usage and forecast usage based on a series of environmental factors. Our product solution will use SAS visual analytics to display network features and SAS machine learning to model network usage. While built around the CB data, this solution has applications to many industries involving fleet management. We hope to provide a streamlined and powerful approach to the CB system management, monitoring, and preparedness.
