This a nice topic - and great SAS Viya hype video. I particularly liked how you walked us through the stages of your analysis while utilizing the SAS Viya tools. Well done!
Two follow-up questions: (1) what was your data source and (2) did you personally learn anything new in this Hackathon about the relationship between climate changes and crop yields?
Nice work!
Thanks for the positive comments.
(1) what was your data source – NASS and NOAA
(2) did you personally learn anything new in this Hackathon about the relationship between climate changes and crop yields? --- ABSOLUTELY. SAS VIYA was easy to work with once got training and tips from SAS mentors. Further, with clicks it was easy to visually gauge the relationship and importance of the higher moments in explaining crop yields before statistically estimating the importance
Thanks for the added detail, @serss! I agree that the fast visualizations make understanding your data a LOT easier. Gone are the days of spending a week fixing angry, red code to produce simple plots. Instead, it's really nice to concentrate more on the higher-level analysis 🙂
Anyway, thanks for sharing and great work in the Hack!
Way to go Aggies! Timely and relevant topic...great presentation! #AggiePride
