Hello just curious if there is going to be another cell phone app for this year's global forum. Each year the app is useful to me to help me decide and navigate what sessions to attend. Often last year I was looking up locations of presentations in the app. There have also been some interesting in app contests and I have won at least once a book prize using the app and scoring in the contest. I am also interested in knowing how the staff behind the app and conference find the app results and are you getting what you need/intent out of it?
Yes, this will be available in March.

Hello @AaroninMN, thanks a lot for the info, plenty useful!
I would like to ask you: where are those instructions posted? Also, what is the link for the web version?
Oh I received an email on March 8 with the instruction. Here is the link to the non app version. https://event.crowdcompass.com/sasgf2018
Hola All,
Have not seen a game or contest section. Will there be one?

The Click App game is now available in the app. Enjoy!
Hi @ptimusk,
Feel free to email me and I am happy to get your more info and answer your questions about the app.
Thanks,
Gail Baker
Is there a reason why the app shows up under an "Attendee-Hub" icon (at least for my Samsung Galaxy 7) rather than a "SAS" labeled icon as in previous Global Forums? Had difficulty finding the app at first on my phone for that reason LOL...
Thank you for asking. Happy to explain best I can. 🙂
In the past 6 months or so, there was a communication from Apple about how they will be structuring new apps in the App Store in the near future (app containers). To get ahead of what is believed to be a mandate soon, we collaborated with the app provider to offer our conference app within the AttendeeHub. It is the understanding of several app providers I've talked to that this will be the direction for all new Apple apps in the future (i am unaware of a specified timeframe). And not knowing when the switch will be flipped, we wanted to be in the AttendeeHub in case the mandate came down during this event.
As far as Google, they don't have such a direction as of yet (to my knowledge). But for ease of deployment, we do execute apps the same for Apple Store and Google Play.
I hope this helps. We tried to provide clear step-by-step instructions for downloading so that it is clear the event app is in an app container like AttendeeHub. I have received some feedback to help improve those steps and look forward to implementing for the next event. I welcome any additional feedback you may have especially about the app functionalities as we continue to expand our strategy for mobile app and gaming at SAS Global Forum.
Thanks! See you in Denver. Safe travels.
I welcome any feedback you have about the app @ptimusk. We do get some pretty neat analytics from the usage after the conference just around functionalities used.
It seems to be working and has not reset on me. I find it won't load at present on my iPad but I can use my iPhone for now.
