I decided to extend my trip for an extra day and am going to check out EPCOT after sessions end on Wednesday.  Having never visited it before, what are the must check out things I need to see.  Is there a particular food place that I should strongly consider, a ride that is memorable?  I know we have some experts who have visited multiple times so let me know what are the things you like to do there when you visit.

Thanks!

The flight ride in Canada is awesome. At least It was years ago when I did it. The restaurant is good too.

Going to the Mexican one for dinner tonight. Will try to report back.

I would consider Soarin' to be a must-do ride at EPCOT.  It's just fabulous.

I haven't been to EPCOT in a while, but I do remember my favorite two rides there were "FastTrack" and "Soaring". I also enjoyed a good meal at the "Coral Reef". The aquarium wall in the restaurant was REALLY cool 🙂

Hi Aaron,

Currently the Flower and Garden Festival is going on at Epcot so there will be booths set up all around to sample (for a price) some amazing food creations. Check here for what is offered. http://allears.net/tp/ep/fg17/epcot-flower-and-garden-festival-outdoor-kitchens-2017.htm

I also really love both Spice Road Table and Restaurant Marakesh in Morocco. And Coral Reef restaurant although that may be harder to get into.

As for attractions, here are my recommendations: Spaceship Earth (save this for last when lines are shorter), Turtle Talk with Crush, Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin' (go here first as lines get really long and stay long), O Canada, and the movie in China. and the Butterfly Garden and the Tea Garden. I'm also a fan of saving the world with Phineas and Ferb.

Enjoy, and see you at the conference!

One comment regarding Mission: Space.  It is a cool ride, but you should know that you are actually climbing into a giant centrifuge that will subject you to significant G-forces that can be rather uncomfortable and disorienting. One astronaut has said that it's the closest most civilians will ever get to experiencing a shuttle liftoff.

I didn't really know what I was getting myself into when I walked in.  Although there are warning signs outside the ride, those tend to get ignored since there are so many warning signs everywhere.  The warnings and health restrictions for this ride should be taken seriously.

They now offer a less intense version of the ride where the centrifuge doesn't actually spin, but the "spaceship" still jostles around a bit to add some realism to your fictional journey to Mars.

Epcot is my favorite and will be the only park I visit. I love the countries - especially browsing the exhibits or watching the surround videos. I like eating at the Land or Mexico. My favorite rides are Spaceship Earth, The Land and the Mexico/Norway rides, but my daughters prefer Soarin', Figment and Image Works.
That being said I am older - if you are more ambitious and adventurous than I, try out the test track.

I recommend Rose and Crown Dining Room in the UK. Food is some of the best I have had in all of WDW. Excellent Fish & Chips.

I also love (like others) Soarin' and Test Track.

"Space" is pretty intense because of the G-Force, If your'e not sure you will like all the "pressure" with that comes with the G-Forces, the less intense version is really still worth the wait.

I also love the figment attraction in a corny kind of way. Be aware though, the theme song may be ringing in your ears that night (which really isn't a bad thing)
