Is SAS Bridge for ESRI a component embedded in ESRI and used in ESRI environment? Or it is a component embedded in SAS and used in SAS environment?

SAS Bridge is an extension to ESRI's ArcGIS desktop product and installs on the client with ArcGIS. It enables the communication with SAS to allow ArcGIS to read and write SAS data and to run SAS programs.

Does SAS offer any product which allows users to interact with ESRI ArcGIS within SAS such as making a call to ArcGIS to run geocoding and bringing the results back to SAS?

If you want to connect to ArcGIS for only geocoding, have you tried the GEOCODE Procedure in SAS/GRAPH? If it meets your needs, you could do your geocoding completely within SAS.
