I am using proc gplot to produce a scatter plot. I have created hyperlinks from the data points in the graph using 'html=' option, which works fine.

However, I also want to create a tool tip for the same data points. So, users should get to see a description when they hover over a point on the graph and should also be able to click the point.

I have been able to get both these features working, but only separately and not at the same time. I tried using plot2 (giving tool tip in plot and hyperlink in plot2) but that didn't work.

I am using png as the driver.

Any suggestions how to get the tool tips and hyperlinks working simultaneously?

Thanks.

The column referenced by the HTML option should have values that contain both HREFs and ALT text. For example, if you have a point that referenced "Google", your HTML value in the column might look something like this:

HREF="http://www.google.com" ALT="Google"

If for some reason ALT does not work for you, try using TITLE. You can even put both of them in there so that all browsers are covered.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, Dan.

ALT= works!

I had been trying with Title= for some time. Whilst it worked in a stored process, it didn't function correctly in a web report. ALT works fine.

Thanks.
