I am new to programming but I am looking for a way to import or create a map of just wake county and then plot points for different zipcodes within the county. I also have coordinate points. I would like to put them both in but it is fine if I can only do one. Is there a way to do either one of these things?
Yes these are possible. See the link below for an example of NC with rare pokemon locations.
Do you have a SAS/Graph License and which version of SAS are you using? Do you have the MAPSGFK library set up?
This isn't quite a straightforward request for a beginner, IMO, but the code is clear and documented.
You create an annotation dataset with only the points, and then use the maps data already provided within SAS.
Getting the County mapped is the easiest part, generating the annotation dataset is the hardest.
Two examples - you can click to see the map and the code is also available.
