The team at Highmark Health recently experienced pronounced slowness in their SAS® 9 Grid Production environment. They worked with SAS tech support and R&D to diagnose the causes and created a remediation action plan. The environment is now holding up well after implementing various tuning options. This session was a case study of the tuning options they used. Learn about some of the options that were conceptually new for the team, like CFS Striping and using NMON to identify resource bottlenecks. The team has since installed ESM in the environment and is working on setting it up for real-time monitoring.
