Telenor Group is a leading telecommunications company across the Nordics and Asia with an award-winning network. In 2020, it was named the fastest network in the world. To maintain a high-quality network, Telenor needs to supply sufficient capacity without going over capacity because it is expensive and uses excess energy. Team 4-kasting created a forecast model system, called hierarchical forecasting, for every Telenor site sector, site and cluster. At SAS Hackathon 2022, the team defined the problem and discussed the data available, from cell to site sector. Team 4-kasting created the model using visual forecasting to supply sufficient capacity without going over capacity.
