Hello -
I use EG 4.1.
Is there a scroll lock option for the datasets viewed in my EG session. When I swtich tabs in EG, it seems to forget my scroll location on the dataset and always moves it back to extreme left.
Similarly on the vertical scroll too..
Please let me know.
Thanks, Ravi
The only way I am aware of that will prevent this "standard" EG behaviour is to select a dataset column with your mouse. Then switching tabs and back again should bring you to the same column you selected. The same applies for vertical scrolling - you have to select a row to ensure that you go back to this position when changing tabs. To lock BOTH your row position AND column position simultaneously you can select a single cell or a group of cells.
BTW I checked out this behaviour in EG 5.1. I can't test if it works in EG 4.1.
I agree it would be great to have an option to turn off this behaviour to avoid having to select columns/rows/cells all the time. It also goes against standard behaviour in other common applications. For example in MS Excel you don't have to select a cell to stop you being automatically being moved back to cell A1 when switching between tabs!
