Hi Alll.
I am Facing Server connectivity problem with SAS EG 4.1 after installing it successfully in my local PC.
Base SAS software not installed in my PC.
Is Base SAS software must be installed in our PC before we using EG 4.1???
Awaiting for help...
Thanks in advance..
You don't need Base SAS installed on your PC, but you do need SAS somewhere. When configured this way, you need to set your SAS Enterprise Guide session to connect to a SAS Metadata environment (to find the SAS servers), or use a local repository and the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer (in the Tools menu) to define the known location of a SAS workspace server (host name and port).
If you've got all of that and are still facing connectivity problems, it's an issue you should track with SAS Tech Support or (if you have someone) a local SAS administrator.

Sanjeev,
No, if you have base SAS locally, then the "built-in" Local repository will show your Local SAS server automatically and you won't need to perform any other administration tasks to use your local SAS.
Chris

I will Install Base SAS in my PC and let you know if any info required from my end.
