Proc dmdb Proc assoc proc sequential

Hi ,

I am trying to use proc dmdb proc assoc in sas EG 7.1.

But it is giving an error saying that cannot find proc dmdb.

Does any body know how to use them in sas eg 7.1.

Thanks

Re: Proc dmdb Proc assoc proc sequential

SAS isn't a single piece of software. There are modules that are licensed for different types of things. For example, if you never do Operation Research or need to optimize equations you may never need SAS/OR. So this type of licensing allows you to purchase only the modules you need.

So PROC DMDB is under the SAS Enterprise Miner license. If you don't have a SAS EM license you can't use those procedures.

EG version is also not helpful since the underlying SAS version can vary so you need to know your SAS version. For example, I run SAS EG 7.1 with SAS 9.4 TS1M3. Your SAS version could be different.

Usually when you get that error it means you either don't have the product licensed or installed.

Use PROC SETINIT to see what you have licensed and PROC PRODUCT_STATUS to see what you have installed.
