Hi,

I had created 2 process flow in my project.
Process Flow A & B.

In A, all my queries/extraction are running in server.
In B, i'm running in Local using SAS code & Queries to generate report.

Therefore, if i run entire project, the sequences should start from Process Flow A then follows by Process flow B.

My problem now is, the EG always start on process flow B then A. It already mess out in my design.

What can I do now it just combine all process flows into 1. For me, it is not really well organized project.

Anyone have better suggestion? Thx

I had been wondering how to do this myself. I could not find it in the documentation. However, after a little experimenting, I discovered, that the "Run Project" runs the Process Flows in the ORDER IN WHICH THEY APPEAR in the Project Tree.

If I rearrange the order in the project tree (drag-n-drop), then it changes the order they run in with the "run project" action.

This worked in EGuide 4.3. As I could not find it documented, my only concern is that the behavior might change without notice in a future version.

Another option is the use of the "Ordered List"

In using this method it helps to rename the various task / steps to something intuitive to the process flow, i.e., query 1, summary 1, query 2, report 2, etc....

Then build your ordered list to run in the sequence desired.

My project is using windows scheduler to run it daily.
I had tried on the Ordered List but it seems like the result still the same.

I suspect that your only choices are to reorder the process flows in the project tree or to schedule the individual process flows to run in the order that you want..

If you are scheduling a project, you can modify the VBS (VB Script) file to run whichever process flows or ordered lists that you want, in whatever sequence you want.

There are several examples of automation EG with scripts here:
