Is it possible to modify EG context menu to perform custom task ?

Hello,

I'd like to be able to perform a custom task from the EG context menu and I did start to examine .NET developping.

The very first step was to get a sample custom task and get it working with EG, which I did successfully, through the

add-in manager.

But my concern is that I didn't find the way to execute the custom task from the context menu.

As for a example, I'd like to right click on a SAS table object in the project tab and execute the FSEdit like custom task

( see http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/guide/customtasks/fsedit.jpg) on this table.

I did buy the book

Custom Tasks for SAS Enterprise Guide Using Microsoft .NET by Chris Hemedinger

...to see if it can help me achieve this.

No, there is not a way to modify a context menu in EG to launch a custom task.  It would be a useful capability, but there is no such "hook" now.

Thanks for buying the book.  I hope that helps you with many of the other custom task "tricks", despite this limitation.
