Hi All,
We are using SAS EG 4.3 version in which we have created prompts for numeric columns, in some cases we have to test the .egp with numerical missing values.
As per our SAS numerical missing would be dot (.) but in my case it is resolving space.
I have checked in SAS EG version 4.1.3 it is resolving numerical missing prompt value as a dot (.) for the below mentioned sample code but in 4.3 version am getting space value instead of DOT (.)
ex:
%PUT &su._5;
DATA _NULL_;
X=&su;
PUT X=;
RUN;
When i pass the prompt value 123 it's getting resolved but for missing value am getting below mentioned error in EG v4.3
ERROR 22-322: Syntax error, expecting one of the following: a name, a quoted string, a numeric constant, a datetime constant,
a missing value, INPUT, PUT.
kindly do needful.....
Thanks,
Sunil Ch.
In the prompt specification, are you sure that you're specifying that the value is numeric? <space> is the missing value for character variables.
