EG's built-in access for micrisoft OLAP

Hi All

Is there any documentation for EG's built-in support for Microsoft analysis services that explains the extents and supported features. We would like to compare if we really need to look for SAS Access to OLE DB license or can stay with EG's built-in access through Private OLAP.

I tried running sql pass thru but it didn't work so wondering how EG submits its code to Microsoft? Any information in this regard is highly appreciated.
