CGM and Enterprise Guide

I have to run some existing program that create CGM files in EG 4.3, and the GOPTIONS settings are being overridden.  I think it is EG trying to help, as CGM is not valid in the ODS HTML destination, but it still produces a CGM, although all the specified hardware fonts have been replaced.

Can anyone suggest a way of running the CGM-producing program in EG without major surgery?

Thanks in advance..........Phil

CGM and Enterprise Guide

After playing around with the options in EG I have resolved this problem myself!

The root of the problem was the default ODS destination of HTML, which is incompatible with CGM files, so switching this off in EG Tools > Options > Result General, and opening the LISTING destination allowed CGM files to be created.  This is OK until you actually need to generate HTML files, when you have to go back into Results General to switch HTML back on.

Therefore the solution has be added to the specific program:

ODS _ALL_ CLOSE;

ODS LISTING;

* ........... CGM-generating SAS code ..............*;

ODS LISTING CLOSE;

Provided the HTML destination is not in use, CGM files are generated in the same way they are in SAS batch outside EG.

Sorted!!...........Phil
