System requirements for proc fastclus

Hi,

I need to develop and keep updated a master table of 10.5M customers, 9 giga of disk space, and to run proc fastclus on this table for clustering.

Can you suggest me system requirements for a unix server to run these jobs? Thank you very much.

You can find more about SAS Enterprise Miner system requirements in http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/miner/index.html

Look for the Administration and Configuration documentation.

Try different values for memory size. SAS Enterprise Miner 13.1 also has HPCluster node, with proc hpclus running behind the scenes, if you want to try that too.

Are you on Base SAS or EM? Also, what's the growth rate of your data per year?

On EM. grow rate is 10% per year.
