New to SAS Data Management and am trying to run Data Flux Web Studio with Reference Data Manager for lists, lookups and hierarchies and Business Data Network for Business Definitions glossary as standalone installed components.

At present publish and import functions are giving either (screenshots attached):

1. error: the user has insufficient permissions to perform the requested action.

2. Transport Error: 403 Error: forbidden messages.

What specific permissions may I require to be set by our administrators to enable these functions? Do I need some of the further Data Management components to be installed for these permissions to be possible and for the the components to integrate.

SAS Data Management tools are new in this workplace and no existing experience base exists so apologies if this is a basic newbie question. Very grateful for any help from the community.

Thanks,

Trevor

Hi Trevor - you will want to look into a few things:

  1. Make sure that the users who are logging into DataFlux Web Studio have the correct permissions to access the associated jobs/processes that are running on the DataFlux Web Studio Server. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the DataFlux Web Studio Admin Guide.
  2. For publishing into a database using Reference Data Manager, the user identity you used when you created the DSN for the target database must have permissions to create and delete tables.

Thanks a lot for your help Ron.

You were right and it was the permissions, now sorted.
