Hi ,

I am trying to import a hive data into SAS using ODBC connection to HIVE server. In one of the columns of HIVE table there are carriage return characters.

When I import the data into SAS from HIVE table, the values of the column containing carriage return are moved to next column/row.

Can anyone please help me solve this.

Thanks

Please post your import code. Normally, I would expect the ODBC to handle this correctly. I suspect that somewhere in between there's a conversion to a text file/stream where the CR's have their unpleasant effect.
