Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to fill in fields of nodes by using a variable? There are multiple nodes in which I use the same description and would like to edit it in only one place. I'd like to have the variable be declared in a node if possible so I can used it as part of a template for other jobs. I know I can use macros but I don't want to have to make a new one for each job.

An example would be the description field in the attached picture.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

You can put your macro variables and mappings in a macro configuration file. These can be edited through DM Studio > Administration > Macro Files. Once defined there, they can be accessed in nodes in jobs using the same convention of %%MACRO%%. The values you set here can be overwritten by values set in the job at run time.
