Dear Experts,

I was trying to import an excel sheet using import wizard and it was not working correctly.

It was omiting one specific column out of 22 columns which has the name "Type", I didn't have any idea of how it was happening so I tried differents things as changing the position of the column in excel sheet, changing its name to something other than "type", restarting the session, but even after doing all of these things wizard omitted the same column evrytime.

But when I used Proc Import, it worked like charm.

Is it any kind of bug that SAS needs to look at?

Here is the log message for both methods.

Hello Jagdishkatam,

As you mentioned I tried options validvarname=yes;

but it is still omiting that particular variable.

Attached is the screenshot of the log before and after above option is used.

Thanks.
