Hi,

When running a job interactively in Data Management Studio, the log appears at the bottom of the screen by default. You can save the log information from here either by using the "Save as Document" menu item that will save the information in an XML-based (.xps) format or you can print the log and select a print driver that will save the information as a file.

To work with logs beyond the one created during interactive running of the job in Data Management Studio, you will need to edit either the platform.log.xml file (logs events for Data Management Studio) or the dfwfproc.log.xml file (logs events for the underlying data management batch engine) typically found in a location like this:

..\SASHome\DataFluxDataManagementStudio\[version]\etc

By default logging is set to INFO and this will log errors, warnings, and informational messages. The level of logging options from off to maximum logging is: OFF > FATAL > ERROR > WARN > INFO > DEBUG > TRACE > ALL. The last several options produce very large logs so use with caution. You can control log contents and log save locations in these configuration files as well.

For additional information, search for logging in the Data Management Studio Installation and Configuration Guide and also review the SAS Logging: Configuration and Programming Reference document.
